Stoning!!

Wussup!! Last Saturday, me and my mates visited Stonehenge and the Salisbury Cathedral. Got on this travel thingy, which cost us only 20 pounds for the whole trip, including the coach fare which they had ready for us taking us there and back.

Started at 9.30am and first stop was Stonehenge. Pretty cool. Always wanted to see it in my life. Though, the rocks look much much smaller in size than we normally see advertised on papers.

The Welcome Board at the entrance

The stones

Amazing sky effect, huh??

Me, stoning with a stone

The regular 5's who go almost everywhere together

No, I wasn't humping the rock!!

We then moved on to Salisbury town where we walked and walked and walked around the town. Small little town. Had a market on that day (reminded me of pasar malam). Real cheap stuff. Had lunch at Subway (apparently the UK franchise does not cater 'Chicken Teriyaki' unlike in Malaysia). And then walked by the river to the Cathedral.

The outside

Cool water fountain in the church

Amazing paint-glasses all over the church. This particular one had a story behind it.

Another view from the outside

Reached back at the uni at 7pm. Chilled in my room for a while. Off to dinner with Daniel after that (had fried chicken at some kebab shop, which turned out to be good). And then, hit the tables for poker (Saturday night's a ritual for all of us to poker).

50 pence buy-in, cash game. I bought-in twice, cashed-out 75 pence. First few rounds were sad, Chia Ern bluffed me a huge pot. But after that I got slightly better. Would say that my 'reading' skills of poker has definitely increased. Read Chia Ern's and Alex's hands correctly a couple of times, which had saved me from losing more chips. But all in all, a good game.

Watched "Eagle Eye" last night. Good and interesting movie. I like action movies, so this one suited me better compared to "Burn After Reading" which I saw last week. Tutorials have just started, pretty hectic, and I'm guessing I have to cut down on my movies and clubbing. Sad.

Errgghh. Screw it. Off to a movie now. And for those who wish to view more pics of the visit to Stonehenge and Salisbury, you could check it out on Facebook as I've put up an album on it.

And lastly, to all my Indian friend's and family, and all Malaysians enjoying the three-day holiday back home, Happy Deepavali. Am missing all the open houses, man!! Sheeeeshhh. My 'chicken peretal' and 'mutton vareval'!!

Cheers.

Every 'dog' has its day!!

St. Patrick, that's what I call it. It's Yun Ling's soft-toy. The little red fella got really high the other night and wanted to fulfill his all time dream. And as the pictures below suggest, you now know what every 'dogs' dream is.

Started off on Michelle...

Tried Yun Ling for a while...

...and ended off on Chia Ern

Great times I must say I have had over the past week. Been laughing, joking, smiling, checking out hot chicks, partying, and definitely missing my 'banana leaf' meals back home!!

This is an extremely random post. Michelle had restricted me from putting up the picture, but guess what chelle, too late!! Currently hooked on PokerTube. Amazing website. Thought me loads of things about poker I never knew could happen in a poker game before.

My phone is currently screwed up over here, but I finally found out the reason why (bloody SIM card). Lectures can get really boring at times, and I'm sitting for my first tutorial next week. I hate revising my books and looking for answers to the stupid questions they put up for us to answer.

Arsenal FC has been playing rather in-consistently lately. Pretty sad on their performances. 3rd on the table with 4 points difference from the top is a huge difference. I mean damnit, they should get me to manage the club now. Atleast, I wouldn't have lost at home. Isshshshhshhshs.....

Ok, my post is getting pretty boring now. I'll leave you guys fantasizing and browsing through the 3 pics I put up above, again!!

Cheers.

3sixty

The name is "3sixty". It's a club on campus at the University of Reading, with a huge amount of space. They have 3 main sections at the club. First, a huge dance floor where they play mainly Pop music but do mix here and there (they have a floor above it as well, looking down onto the main dance-floor). Second, another dance floor at the Cafe Mondial (it's a cafe during the day and a club at night), but smaller in size where they only play RnB and Soul music. Thirdly, at Mojo's, where there is music, but the place is mainly for pool and a place to sit, relax, and drink beer with friends.

So, I went into 3sixty for the first time last night. Must say I was impressed with the concept they had. The place has 4 bars, 2 at the main dance floor (the Pop mixed music one). So, I went in around 9.30, paid the 3 pounds cover-charge and started wondering around with my new-found friend, Yadav.

Walked around a little bit, bought some vodka and started off at the pool tables. What most we did the whole day was just check out chicks and groove a little to the dance floor's beats. The amazing thing was that everyone was so so so happy. Just having a blast and living their lives to the fullest. While dancing, you could even see the excitement, passion and love on their faces.

I would say half of the crowd was high but it was incredible. Now the reoson why I wrote up this post is to say, the girls here dress to kill you man!! Seriously, it was like b**b heaven yesterday at the club. Almost all the girls had their 'babylons' on display and my oh my, they were all looking extremely nice!! Good eye-candy lahh, thats what I mean.

But the best part of the evening was the DJ. Absolutely brilliant. All extremely nice songs he played and mixed it superbly. I can still remember when he played the 'YMCA'. Everyone actually did stop and do the hand-moving thingy. HAHAHAHhahah. Amazing experience though.

The way the people dance, the way they sing, the way the wiggle. So so funny. I can still re-capture seeing this Indian guy with his Indian friend (both males) on the dance floor, and they were dancing like typical Indians at clubs. Brings me back to Russell Peters quotes of Indian guys at clubs, 'Hey baby, wobbling wobbling. You wanting to dance tonight??" (in Indian accent).

Loads of couples were smooching here and there. Caught two girls locking-lips as well, and a few drunk guys trying to kiss each other as well. Me and my friend looked at each other after witnessing that horrifying act of two males trying to kiss each other and went, "F*CK NO!!". Jordin Sparks-No Air, Backstreet Boys-Everybody, DJ Otzi-Hey Baby, Spice Girls-Wannabe, Bon Jovi-Livin on a Prayer, and loads of other hit songs spiced up the floor.

Left around at 1.30, half-an-hour before the club closes (which is at 2, for those who can't do the math). Eventhough it was just me and my friend (yes, I know it sounds gay), but it was fun overall. The rhymes of Fatman Scoop-Put Your Hands Up's was and still is tingling in my ears as I was walking out the door while others were jamming to the tune.

"You got a $100 dollar bill put your hands up
You got a $50 dollar bill put your hands up
You got a $20 dollar bill put your hands up
You got a $10 dollar bill put your hands up

Single ladies I cant hear you
Singles ladies make noise
Single ladies I cant hear you
Single ladies make noise"

London, so far...

Wokay, I'm back!! Yes, I know its been a while now since I've last updated my blog, but have been busy settling down lahh. Anyways, was here in Reading on the 18th of September with my dad and my uncle. We put up at our relatives house here at Reading, visited many places while there. Then moved on to another uncles house at Luton, where we also visited many places while there. And of course, not breaking the chain, we moved on to Berkhamstead for another uncles house. Visited A place while there.

See. its Indian tradition to put up/stay at a relatives house when overseas. If not, you'll just offend them and they will never talk to you anymore. That's how screwed up things are when it comes to relations. But anyways, visited Reading town (The Oracle), toured the whole London, visited Milton Keynes (huge shopping mall), and of course Windsor Castle.

My dad broke his back while in the process as on day 1 we walked from the university to town centre (The Oracle). Yeap, we WALKED!! And then on day 2, we WALKED AGAIN around the whole London. That includes walks from the train station to Westminister, to Buckingham Palace, back to train station to head off to Madame Tussauds, and then train again to Leicester Square (Chinatown) and then walked to Trafalgar Square, then train to Ravenscourt for dinner with my uncle's friends and then train back to Winnersh (where my relatives stay at Reading). Oh yeah, not forgetting the chilly walk we had to do from the Winnersh Station to our relatives house at 1.00am, in the freaking morning/midnight/whatever you wanna call an ice-cold-legs shivering-balls freezing walk!!

Now if the above does not make sense to you, then you're just an idiot who's not good at geography. So for now, I'll let the pics do the talking (extremely random pics) and enjoy it.

The London Eye

Big Ben

Buckingham Palace from far...

The gates of the Palace

The whole Palace

This was taken somewhere in London...

Albert Einstein (After a game of poker with him, was proven I was the true genius)

Justin Timberlake (I have the sexier back lahh)

Bob Marley (No woman, No cry)

Gandhi (He once said "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind"...I say "The whole world is already blind" !!)

Ducks - Somewhere near Windsor Castle (If it was Malaysia, some Chinaman would have caught it, cooked it, and served it at his 'kai fan' shop as duck rice)

So, I guess that's about it. Still really really busy in admission stuff at the uni, would be very busy over the enxt couple of weeks. Need to get my books, go for classes and the whole cycle starts over again, DAMN!!

I'll see you guys online then. Cheers.
